Who is responsible

The short version

The details you type into the builder (names, addresses, rent figures, dates) stay in your browser. They are used to render the preview and, after payment, your downloadable pack. We do not send that information to our servers and we do not store it. If you close the tab without downloading, it is gone.

What we collect

Builder inputs — processed in your browser only. Not transmitted to us, not stored by us.
Payment — handled by Stripe. Stripe receives your card details and billing information directly; we receive from Stripe a payment reference and whether the payment succeeded, so we can unlock your pack. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Hosting logs — our host (Cloudflare) processes standard request information (IP address, timestamp, page requested) to serve the site and guard against abuse.
Email — if you email us, we keep that correspondence to deal with your query.

Lawful bases

Performing our contract with you (processing your payment and providing the pack).
Our legitimate interests (keeping the site secure and available; responding to your emails).
Complying with legal obligations (keeping records of transactions for tax and accounting).

Retention

Builder inputs: not retained (browser only). Payment records: retained by us and by Stripe for at least 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. Emails: kept while relevant, then deleted.

Processors we use

Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment processing.
Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and content delivery.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Because we do not store your builder inputs, most requests will concern payment records or email correspondence. Contact hello@propernotice.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage only to remember your light/dark theme choice and, within a single visit, that you have paid.
